Position Description: Field Service Technician - South Central Oklahoma

Scope:  Providing service and customer support during field visits/dispatches
Test, calibrate, operate, maintain and inspect electronic and mechanical measurement equipment

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must speak and read English fluently
  • Proven field service experience
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules, must be willing to work overtime and handle call-outs.
  • Some overnight travel required
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening and fitness test and subject to random drug testing
  • Must be capable of physical duties in an outdoor environment - Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending, stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
  • Able to read P & IDs, control loop diagrams, and electrical diagrams


Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Follow all company filed safety procedures and protocols
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, operate, maintain, inspect and test electronic/mechanical liquid flow meters, associated measurement, and communication equipment.
  • Maintain typical pipeline equipment, basic measurement equipment, valves, etc.
  • Responsible for proper operation and maintenance of pipeline/production facilities in accordance with company procedures/policies and DOT regulations
  • Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate repairs/recommendations
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers
  • Document processes and submit service tickets
  • Operate and maintain company owned vehicle, tools, and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair of AC/DC circuits, pump panels, VFD’s and Power Distribution systems --Voltages ranging from 24VDC to 480 VAC
  • Performs preventive and general maintenance on electronic and pneumatic equipment and parts associated with this equipment (which includes working near energized circuits over 480 volts)
  • Installs, troubleshoots and maintains end devices, alarms, shutdown systems, process controls, panel boards, etc.
  • Runs conduit, pulls wire, changes end devices and maintains alarms and shutdown systems
