Description

Position: Field Electricians- Midland/Big Spring Area
Scope: Providing service and customer support during field visits/dispatches
Install industrial/oil & gas projects per NEC, customer specifications and E&I Inspector on site

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Current state issued Texas Journeyman/Master Electrical License.
  • Must speak and read English fluently
  • Strong experience in the oil/gas & industrial field, at least 5 years.
  • Ability to work scheduled hours and to adapt to changing work environments, must be willing to work overtime and handle call-outs.
  • Some overnight travel required
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening and fitness test and subject to random drug testing
  • Must be capable of physical duties in an outdoor environment - Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending, stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
  • Able to read P & IDs, control loop diagrams, and electrical diagrams
  • Strong work ethics.


Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Follow all company filed safety procedures and protocols
  • Install electrical/instrumentation equipment on SWD’s, tank batteries, well VFD’s and industrial projects.
  • Responsible for supervising crew & proper electrical installation in accordance with NEC, company procedures/policies and DOT regulations.
  • Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate repairs/recommendations.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers
  • Generate service tickets, material tickets, JSA’s and all required documentation.
  • Operate and maintain company owned vehicle, tools, and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair of AC/DC circuits, motor starters, VFD’s and Power Distribution systems --Voltages ranging from 24VDC to 480 VAC
  • Performs preventive and general maintenance on electronic and pneumatic equipment and parts associated with this equipment (which includes working near energized circuits up to 600 volts)
  • Installs, troubleshoots and maintains end devices, alarms, shutdown systems, process controls, panel boards, etc.
  • Runs conduit, pulls wire, changes end devices and maintains alarms and shutdown systems
